6/30/2017 State.co.us Executive Branch Mail - Fwd- FW: TR -111 Adequacy Response
additional detail regarding the drainage of these parcels to ensure all disturbances report to the Coal
Stockpile Pond as designed.
Response: Exh. 7-23, Figure M-2 and M-3 have been updated to reflect the area in west section of SWS47-2,
just west of station 15+00, to drain to the West Collector Ditch. Once the downstream sediment control
structures are in place and the West Collector Ditch is no longer necessary, the coal stockpile pad will toe out
over the ditch as was previously shown prior to the revisions under this response. Until that time, runoff from
disturbances above the West Collector Ditch will be routed to the ditch.
For the 1.5 acre area denoted as SWS44-1, a grass filter demonstration has been conducted and included with
this response. The grass filter demonstration clearly indicates that within 20' of the edge of disturbance a 0.00
mill of settleable solids is achieved.
Tony Tennyson
Senior Environmental Engineer
Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc.
Office: 970.824.1232
ttennyson@tristategt.org
APlease consider the environment before printing this email.
Zach Trujillo
Environmental Protection Specialist
P 303.866.3567 x 8164 1 F 303.832.8106
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203
Zach.Trujillo@state.co.us I mining.state.co.us
n TR -111 Adequacy Response.pdf
1502K
https://mail.google.com/mail/b/Alk_JgYBUudxsN9rSphtyOx4fvMOkjO5rDChJ U4VS78F9W2tU38P/u/O/?ui=2&ik=deb7fOcd2O&jsver=nZ9otGMmGjO.en.&... 2/2
