6/28/2017 State.co.us Executive Branch Mail - Fwd: Thank you for coming over to Paonia
2.05.5 post mining land use --I would appreciate it if you could let me know which sections you think apply to our
situation.
On May 16, Bowie/Levin sent a revised application of land use change to the county --for the Steven's Gulch
properties in the original application you received (and for which we did not see any amendment in the permit#5
revision paperwork we received). I am attaching the notification letter sent to some of us by the County regarding the
change in application... from original post mining use (grazing and pasture) to residential with some "storage areas of
about 2.5 acres". We were told (I went on the site walk on May 19) that this storage area would be for his equipment
which would be more "long term" storage. And it would be mining equipment he stores but maybe owned privately so
it didn't apply to commercial industrial use.
I will look for the revised application for these parcels on the website. Some of the reclamation cost estimates we
saw relate to those sites and the questions I previously asked you are connected to them (46Kvoltage line starts at
the metering station on those parcels and extends down to the load out area).
Again, thank you for your time, and for listening to and answering our questions... at least as much as you were able.
All the best
Judy
Judy Martin
https://mail.googl e.com/m ai I/b/AH RY9vvn7bw7Ls6l leXH OP57PzrOD0140YsdCON b0-okGl d42c_alu/0/?ui=2&i k=deb7fOcd20&j sver= nZ9otGM m Gj O.en.&view= p... 2/2
