Public Notice <br />Snowcap Coal Company, P.O. Box 1430, Palisade, CO, 81526, has submitted a complete <br />application for a renewal of a valid, existing permit to conduct mining in Colorado to the Division <br />of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its Roadside North and South Portals, mining permit No. <br />C-1981-041. <br />The Roadside mines are located approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the <br />Interstate 70, Cameo Exit No. 46. The permit area is split east and west by the Colorado River <br />and 1-70, and is encompassed within the following lands: <br />T10S, R98W., 6th P.M.: Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 <br />T11S, R98W., 6th P.M.: Section 2 <br />The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 minute Cameo <br />and Palisade Quadrangle maps. <br />A copy of the permit renewal application is available for public inspection at the Mesa County <br />Clerk and Recorder's office, 200 S. Spruce, Grand Junction, CO. A copy of the approved permit <br />application document, as well as the renewal application, is available at the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety, Room 215, 1313 Sherman St., Denver, CO 80203, (303) 866- <br />3567. Written comments, objections or a request for an informal conference on the proposed <br />permit renewal may be submitted to the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />and must be received by the Division within 30 days after final publication of this notice. <br />
