r DHR <br /> monitoring wells were constructed with 2-inch inner diameter schedule 40 PVC pipe with <br /> threaded joints. 10 feet of 0.010-inch well screen was placed on the bottom of each well, with <br /> solid PVC riser installed up to the ground surface. The wells were capped with a lockable plug. <br /> 12 feet of 10/20 silica sand was placed around the well screen and utilized as filter pack. 10 to <br /> 11 % feet of bentonite chips were placed above the filter pack to provide a water tight seal <br /> around the well casing. A flush-mount steel well cover encased in a 4-inch thick, 2-foot by 2-foot <br /> concrete pad was installed at the ground surface on each well. <br /> LIMITATIONS <br /> Kleinfelder has prepared this letter for the exclusive use of Colorado Springs Utilities for the <br /> proposed Clear Spring Ranch, Gravel Pit #2 (Phase 2) project.
