Trujillo <br />1 ,;nvironmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215 <br />llenver, Colorado 80203 <br />RECEIVE® <br />JUN 2 3 2011 <br />avW190 ofWim <br />IR, <br />Re: Colowyo Coal Mine (Permit No. C-1981-019),'Technical Revision No. 111 (TR -111) <br />Sediment Control Plan Collom Facilities (HC #67752) <br />llear Mr. Trujillo: <br />Thank N,ou for your recent correspondence dated June 1, 2017 (received bv our office on June <br />5, 2017) regarding the subject undertaking. <br />As the above referenced permit revision does not propose additional surface disturbance, it is <br />our opinion that a finding of no historic properties affected is appropriate for the proposed <br />undertaking pursuant to 36 CFR 800.4(d)(1). <br />'I'he consultation process does involve other consulting parties such as local governments and <br />Tribes, which as stipulated in 36 CFR 800.3 are required to be notified of the undertaking. <br />Additional information provided by the local government, 'Tribes or other consulting parties <br />maN cause our office to re-evaluate our comments and recommendations. <br />If previously unidentified archaeological resources are discovered in the course of the project, <br />work must be interrupted until the resources are properly evaluated in terms of the National <br />Register of Historic Places eligibility criteria (36 CFR 60.4) in consultation with our office. <br />Thank you for the opportunity, to comment.
