Wein <br />Environmental Protection Specialist <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety <br />1313 Sherman St., Room 215 <br />Dcnvcr, Colorado 80203 <br />RECEIVED <br />JUN 14 2017 <br />DIVISION Cir--.MATION <br />MINING —i -- --FETY <br />Re: Bowie No. 2 Mine (Permit No. C-1996-083),'Technical Revision No. 112 (fR-112) Drill up to <br />lour boles from Drill Sitc'1'C-03-01 (HC #72358) <br />Dear Mr. W'cin: <br />Thank you for your recent correspondence dated May 26, 2017 (received by our office on June 2, <br />2017) regarding the subject undertaking. <br />As the above referenced permit revision does not propose additional surface disturbance, it is our <br />opinion that a finding of no historic properties affected is appropriate for the proposed undertaking <br />pursuant to 36 CFR 800.4(d)(1). <br />The consultation process does involve other consulting parties such as local governments and Tribes, <br />which as stipulated in 36 CFR 800.3 are required to be notified of the undertaking. Additional <br />information provided by the local government, 'Tribes or other consulting parties may cause our office <br />to rc-evaluate our comments and recommendations. <br />If previously unidentified archaeological resources arc discovered in the course of the project, work <br />must be interrupted until the resources are properly evaluated in terms of the National Register of <br />Historic Places eligibility criteria (36 CFR 60.4) in consultation with our office. <br />'Dank N-ou for the opportunity to comment.
