The mine is a reclaimed underground mine. As
such, there are no mine personnel or buildings remaining on the site. The gate on the bridge over Salt Creek was
locked appropriately allowing controlled access to the the site. The weather was partly cloudy with predictions of
storms moving in later in the afternoon. The mine site was dry and the road to the reclaimed waste roack pile was
traversable.
EXCESS SPOIL and DEVELOPMENT WASTE – Rule 4.09
Placement; Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization:
The reclaimed waste rock pile has excellent vegetative cover and well established sagebrush on the
reclaimed area. Whitetop (Cardaria draba) is invading on the southern side of the reclaimed pile. Weed control
would be beneficial to reduce the continued spread of this noxious weed. The redisturbed area on the NW portion
of this reclaimed pile is filling in well with perennial vegetation. At the time of the inspection, a healthy stand of
Lewis flax had established in this reseeded area.

RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
The reclaimed haul road to the portal remains in good condition with excellent vegetative cover and
diversity. No erosional rills or other features were noted on the reclaimed haul road.

REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15
Vegetative Cover; Timing:
Vegetation on the reclaimed topsoil stockpile footprint was coming in well. Species noted establishing
include Lewis flax, Scarlet globemallow, sagebrush, as well as Utah sweetvetch.

Noxious species continue to be monitored and managed. Previously sprayed Whitetop on the reclaimed topsoil
pile area are dying down. No other concerns were identified in this area.
