HgX° Mercury Decontaminant Powder <br /> STABILITY. Stability limited in solution <br /> CONDITIONS TO AVOID: High temperatures,Acids and oxidizing agents. <br /> INCOMPATIBLE WITH: Acids, Oxidizing Agents. <br /> HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will Not Occur. <br /> HAZARDOUS DECOMPOSITION: High Temperatures(800-900°F) may cause evolution of toxic S02 or H2S gases. <br /> STEPS TO BE TAKEN/N CASE OR SPILL OR LEAK: Clean up with water. <br /> DISPOSAL PROCEDURE: <br /> Unused, in dry form, HgX® may be stored indefinitely. It may be disposed of according to local, state and federal <br /> environmental regulations. <br /> HgX® which has been used to decontaminate a Mercury spill must be handled as follows: Separate the solids and do a <br /> toxicity test on the solids and the liquid. Depending upon toxicity readings, more HgX®may be added to further decontaminate <br /> the liquid or solids which then should be disposed of according to local, state and federal environmental regulations. <br /> 4' <br /> VENTILATION: As necessary to remove dust. <br /> RESPIRA TORY PROTECTION: Use NIOSH/MSHA certified dust mask and/or respirator where appropriate. <br /> EYE PROTECTION: Wear safety glasses with side shields. <br /> PROTECTIVE GLOVES/APRON: Wear clothing sufficient to protect skin from contact. <br /> MOVE <br /> M-9—SMAW, wmmlol <br /> STORAGE AND HANDLING INFORMATION: <br /> Store in a cool dry area. <br /> Avoid storage where contact with acids or oxidizing agents is likely. <br /> Avoid breathing dust.
