The revision was submitted by Bowie Resources, LLC. All review and <br />comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />Bowie Resources, LLC (BRL) proposes a technical revision to allow Oxbow Mining, LLC <br />(Oxbow )to use the TC-03-01 pad to support Oxbow ’s coal methane recovery project. BRL and <br />Oxbow entered an agreement in 2015 which allows Oxbow to extract coal bed methane from the <br />existing B and D seam workings of the Bowie No. 2 Mine. The TC -03-01 pad has not yet been <br />reclaimed by BRL. Oxbow plans to use the pad to drill up to four seal removal holes into the the <br />seal of the 1 west mains in the Bowie No. 2 Mine. The seal removal holes will allow for pressure <br />equalization across the seals and enhance coal bed methane recovery. The application proposes no <br />new surface disturbance. The applicant is not proposing additional surface disturbance outside of <br />the area currently approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The underground coal mining opera tion is on land located approximately 5 miles Northeast of <br />Paonia, Colorado.
