must be drained before it can be considered for additional extraction, as the area is one of the oldest extracted areas of the
permit and may have some additional resources remaining to be conserved and recovered for processing.
Tract B is an area of active extraction, and the southern portion comprises approximately 9.26±acres as it progresses to
the northern portion, presently occupied by apx. 4.48±acres of processing and stockpiling. Here again, extraction will
focus over the next year within the existing extraction area bottom and is not expected to significantly progress into the
stockpile/processing area over the next year. The balance of lands backfilled, graded, soiled and seeded is reflected in the
annual report chart, below. Generally, with the exception of active extraction in Tract B, and minor areas tied to the
stockpile and processing activities in Tract C,or active fill activity in Tract D,the majority of affected basin slopes have
been graded and soiled, and to a slightly smaller extent, seeded as reflected in the required information, below.
Tract D fill is moving gradually from east to west as shown in the Annual Report Map. The 2014 Annual Report Map
also shows the location of repair of 2013 flood effects detailed in a Technical Revision approved by OMLR on 2 May
2014.
Weeds are mechanically controlled along seeded slopes of seeded basin perimeters as needed, but are not generally a
problem over affected lands. Water level data is also included as an attachment to this report. Primary future activity
includes the continued processing and removal of existing stockpiled materials or of that taken primarily from existing
extracted basin bottoms over the ensuing year. No other reclamation is anticipated for the 2017-2018 year.
1. Is the site identification sign posted in accordance with Rule 3.1.12(1). YES NO
2. Is the affected area boundary clearly marked in accordance with Rule 3.1.12(2). YES NO
3. Is the mine site in final reclamation(all material extraction and stockpile removal is complete)? YES NO
If"YES,"please note time limits related to completion of reclamation,Rule 3.1.3.
4. What was the date of last excavation, processing or hauling activity at the mine? On-going
5. Does the mine operate more than 180 days per year? YE NO
If"NO", please review Rule 1.13 to assure that your mine is in compliance.
6. Has this mine been granted: a)approval of TEMPORARY CESSATION Status? YES NNOb)approval for INTERMITTENT OPERATION? YES
7. Number of acres currently affected(mining+incomplete and or unreleased reclamation). 229.89+
*Refer to Narrative Summary and acres from 2003 Amendment shown on included map, and from item 12,below.
8. Number of acres that were newly affected during the current report year. 00.00±
9. Number of acres that were reclaimed during the current report year. nn nn+
10. Estimated new acreage to be affected in the next report year. qp nn,
11. Estimated acres to be reclaimed in the next report year. 00.00±
*Note: Fill Activities since the 2003 Amendment have reduced the 13.46±acres of basin fill(B)by 3.40±acres,
based upon an area apx. 250'±x 740'±and deducting for the escalloped edge of the fill area by a factor of 20%.
While fill activity continues 2013,however,the rate of fill did not add significantly to previously described extent.
We will measure in 2014 for the next annual report and update if a significant extent can be discerned and plotted.
