RECLAMATION COST ESTIMATE
According to Rule 4.2.4(1) the bond must be at least
$2,500.00 per acres or fraction there of. For the 12.00 acres in
this permit it will be $30,000. The following Reclamation Cost
Estimate in based on the assumption that there will be no more
that 12.00 acre + disturbed at anyone time and that 3.03 acres of
the twelve are currently disturbed and needs no reclamation,
other then grading. It also assumes, that when it comes time to
resoil the area, an average of 4 inches of soil would be spread
over the newly disturbed area. At that time we will have to
respread 4;250 cubic yards of topsoil. Some cut/fill sloping
will be necessary on the working face that will be no longer then
400 feet long and an average of 10 feet high. The time when it
would be most expensive to reclaim the site is when resoiling and
seeding is needed and mining has ended. The difference between
resoiling and reseeding area is in the 1.07 acres in the setbacks
the only need seeding. The table below outlines the various
sizes of disturbed areas as explained above. The areas needing
work in this analysis are shown on the Reclamation Map -Map Exhibit E-2.
A dozer will be used to do the resoiling and a motor grader will
be used to shape the site after resoiling is complete.
STAGE
TOTAL SOIL DEPTH
NEEDING REBOILING
7.90 AC 4
REVEGETATION AREA
13.97 AC
HIGHWALL LENGTH
400 FT.
CUT/FILL VOLUME PER LINEAR FOOT
1. 1 6 CY/LF
SECONDARY REVEGETATION RATE
33%
RESOIL @ 4° a,ZSO CU81C YARDS
ESTIMATED UNIT COSTS FOR RECLAMATION ITEMS:
Unit Cost
1.
