Response to PR-7 stipulations. <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Ms. Maiolo: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on May 12, 2017, an <br />application to revise coal mining operations at the Trapper Mine was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations <br />initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />This revision discusses each item under Stipulation No. 22 with reference to revised permit <br />document pages and, additional appendices. Also included are design information for five <br />proposed sediment ponds to be built within the PR7 expansion area. Trapper Mine Inc., is not <br />requesting for approval to mine in the PR7 expansion area at this time. The revision includes <br />information on the overburden characteristics, hydrologic information about Deacon and Jeffway <br />gulches and associated seeps, and results of water quality sampling. The applicant is not proposing <br />additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, <br />Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br /> <br />Township 5 North, Range 90 West <br /> Section 5 All
