Response to PR-7 stipulations. <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Planning Director: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on May 12, 2017, a <br />permit revision application for a permit to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-1981-010 <br />by Trapper Mining, Inc., was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and <br />comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules <br />and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining initiate from <br />this date of filing. <br /> <br />This revision discusses each item under Stipulation No. 22 with reference to revised permit <br />document pages and, additional appendices. Also included are design information for five <br />proposed sediment ponds to be built within the PR7 expansion area. Trapper Mine Inc., is not <br />requesting for approval to mine in the PR7 expansion area at this time. The revision includes <br />information on the overburden characteristics, hydrologic information about Deacon and Jeffway <br />gulches and associated seeps, and results of water quality sampling. The applicant is not proposing <br />additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The surface coal mining operation is located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, Colorado. <br />The permit area is further described as follows: <br />
