Mr. Graham Roberts
Page 2
10 May 2017
(d) Trapper seeded 143.7 acres of land in 2016. The location and the number of acres seeded
during 2016 are discussed in section 1.2.4 and depicted on Map 1 of Appendix W. Trapper included a
packing slip from Stevenson Intermountain Seed, Inc. in Section 7 of Appendix W illustrating the
seeds used for reclamation. Section 1.2.5 of Appendix W discusses the cultural practices conducted in
2016.
(e) Map 1 of Appendix W depicts all previously planted parcels at the site. Each parcel
identifies the acres and the year seeding occured.
Rule 2.04.13 (2):
The report identified that improvements and repairs were conducted on reconstructed drainages in
Section 3. New drainages constructed in 2016 represent approximately 4 miles (20,550 linear feet).
Drainage repairs or improvements were completed on approximately 25.1 miles (132,684 linear feet) in
2016.
Table 5-1 provides geographic locations for each of the topsoil stockpiles and the approximate volume
stored in each pile. Topsoil stockpiles are depicted on Map M1 in Appendix W. Stock tanks and
dozer basins were updated through 2016.
In accordance with section 3.6.3.5 of Trapper's permit, they must provide the Division with the
proposed list of plant species to be used each year. It appears the number of species for plant type
grasses, forbes and, shrubs) and the amount of seeds to be applied are in accordance with Trapper's
approved seed mixtures.
TRI 18 adequacy items coincide with inconsistencies between information provided in TRI 16 and
TRI 18. The relevant items to TRI 18 are as follows, Preliminary Adequacy Questions:
The 2016 Annual Report indicated that 48.8 acres in the L Pit area were disturbed in 2016.
DRMS May 2017
1. Please provide additional detail on the nature of the 48.8 acre disturbance.
2. The construction of the Deal, and Deacon/Jeffway diversion ditches was not addressed or
accounted for in the 2016 annual report. Please add a discussion in the report stating the
acres disturbed associated with the construction of the diversion ditches or; inform DRMS
where this information resides in the permit.
