4. REVISION OF STORM WATER MANAGEMENT PLAN
This SWMP will be updated as needed based on changes in operations, deficiencies noted during site
inspections, in response to spills, or as requested by the CDPHE.
4.1 Making the SWMP Available
GCC will make the SWMP available upon request by the CDPHE, or local agency approving
storm water management plans, local government officials, or the operator of a municipal
separate storm sewer receiving discharges from the site. A copy of the SWMP,which is required
to be kept on the site or locally available, will be made available to the CDPHE for review at the
time of an on-site inspection.
4.2 Keeping Plans Current
GCC will amend the Storm Water Management Plan whenever:
1. There is a change in design, operation or maintenance which has a significant effect on
the discharge of pollutants to the waters of the United States which has not been
addressed in the SWMP; or
2. Inspections or investigations by site operators, local, state, or federal officials indicate that
the SWMP is proving ineffective in eliminating or significantly minimizing pollutants from
sources identified under this permit.
4.3 Training
Regular training sessions will be held to reinforce the requirements of the Permit and this SWMP.
Training will include field inspections of sensitive areas, storm water storage, and drainage
systems located in the quarry area.
Training sessions will be held at least once per year. Subjects to be covered in training sessions
are:
• NPDES Permit requirements per the General Permit
• Status of the Permit
• Definition and purpose of a Stormwater Management Plan
• Spill Response and Clean-up Procedures
• Good Housekeeping procedures
• Best Management Procedures per this SWMP
• How and when to implement procedures
• Inspection and reporting requirements and procedures
• Reporting and record keeping
11
