Introduction <br /> GCC Rio Grande, Inc. (GCC)operates a cement manufacturing plant and associated open-pit limestone <br /> quarry located at 3372 Lime Road in Pueblo, Colorado. On March 23, 2012 GCC applied coverage under <br /> CDPS General Permit No. COG-500000 for Sand and Gravel(Non-Metallic Minerals) Mining and <br /> Processing. <br /> Purpose <br /> The purpose of this Storm Water Management Plan is to identify possible pollutant sources to storm water <br /> and to define best management practices that will reduce or eliminate possible water quality impacts due <br /> to dewatering activities associated with GCC's limestone quarry in accordance with CDPS General Permit <br /> No. COG-500000. <br /> Rationale-Colorado Discharge Permit#COR-050000 <br /> Appendix A contains a copy of CDPS General Permit No. COG-500000. This permit authorizes the <br /> discharge of combined process water and storm water from GCC's limestone quarry. <br /> Permit Area <br /> GCC's limestone quarry is located in Colorado, an EPA delegated state. It is not located on Indian land. <br /> Eligibility <br /> This facility is eligible for coverage under General Permit No. COG- 500000 since it meets the definition of <br /> activities as defined in CDPS General Permit No, COR-050000, <br /> 1 <br />
