Post reclamation inspections to document vegetation growth will be conducted early in the first
growing season to monitor for noxious weed growth and will continue until the planted and
native species are reestablished to approved densities. Noxious weed will be managed through
integrated methods in accordance with the Colorado Noxious Weed Act (CRS 35-5.5). If a
Colorado State Noxious Weed is found during operations and monitoring, weed control
measures shall be implemented in accordance with County and State weed control personnel. A
complete list of Colorado noxious weeds can be found at
www.colorado.gov/cs/Satellite/Agriculture.../1174084048733.
D-4 Post-Mining Land Use
Prior to mining operations, the land was waste land of a pivot corner on a non-irrigated farm and
maintained as rangeland to minimize soil erosion. The proposed reclamation plan will return the
land to pre-mining use. There will be no reduction in available acreage for use as rangeland.
During re-vegetation no livestock grazing will occur on the affected land. After vegetation is
reestablished there will be no anticipated reduction in the carrying capacity of the affected land.
All current man-made structures will remain post-mining as these structures are associated with
the farming operation on the property. All access roads are to remain and will not be reclaimed
as they provide ingress and egress to the site and will allow for cattle feeding and roundup during
cattle grazing and farming operations.
D-5 Reclamation Costs
Summary of Reclamation Costs:
Total Reclamation Cost $22,232.40
Administrative Fee (18.5%) $4,113.25
Proposed Reclamation Bond $26,345.65
Bonded Cost per Acre at 10 Acres $2,634.56
Task Unit Cost # of Units Total Cost
Grading with subsoiler, Cubic Yards $1.80 4,018 $7232.40
backhoe or dozer
Disk with tractor Acre $450 10 $4,500
Cross drill seed Acre $525 10 $5,250
Seed, fertilizer,mulch Acre $525 10 $5,250
Total Cost $22,232.40
