This revision will result in an incidental permit boundary change adding the
1.2 acre Northwest Bleeder Fan site to the New Elk Permit (from the Golden Eagle
C-1981-013 Permit). All facilities have previously been removed from the site and
received Phase I bond release approval from the Division in 2005. The
reclamation bond for the New Elk Mine will be increased by $9,122.15 (based on
GEM MT -7 calculations by the Division).
Upon approval of this revision New Elk Coal Company LLC anticipates that it will
file a request for a final Phase III bond release for the Golden Eagle Mine permit
C-1981-013 thus effectively terminating this permit.
12250 Hwy 12 PHONE (719) 859-0111
Weston, CO 81091 FAX ((719) 868-0044
E-MAIL ronthompson@newelkcoal.com
