As part of the -7 e d are the updated maps for Exhibits C and F.
The mining plan map (Exhibit C) shows the implemented irrigation pipe for the as-built configuration
and elevations of its two (2) outfalls. Also Exhibit C shows the intended excavation limits with the
revision for the intention to mine the existing peninsula/island. This location stems from the western
property line and was originally intended to remain to account for the existing bundle cottonwood trees.
However, these cottonwood trees 20-30 years later are now dying or falling over from high winds. The
proposed method would be to excavate the gravel underneath these trees, then once the gravel is
depleted from this location the reclamation process will commence for construction of the
peninsula/island. We will backfill and plant new cottonwood trees, and/or other suitable vegetation as
well as drill seed and crimp mulch the approved seed mix to reflect the new proposed contours as it is
represented in Exhibit F. At this time Elam feels we have met compliance with the mine plan and
existing activities and kindly request approval of this TR-7 and abatement to the problem noted in the
inspection report dated April 10, 2017 for the inspection that occurred on March, 15, 2017.
Thank you for your assistance during this process. Please call me if you have any questions.
Best Regards,
Jon Mueller
Environmental Compliance Coordinator
Kilgore Companies dba Elam Construction, Legrand Johnson Construction, Peak Materials
Phone: 970-242-5370
Email:ion.mueller(a,elamconstruction.com
