b. List B <br /> List B infestations reported to Moffat County Weed and Pest by 3`d parties within established <br /> suppression areas will be responded to,using the following protocol: <br /> 1) Obtain geographical location of the infestation (legal description, parcel number,GPS, <br /> etc.) <br /> 2) A drive-by or site visit via neighboring property will be conducted to confirm the <br /> infestation. <br /> 3) Contact information for the landowner where the infestation exists will be obtained. <br /> 4) A letter along with educational materials relevant to the species of concern,a list of <br /> applicable county services and a list of contractor referrals will be sent to the <br /> landowner. <br /> In the instance that a List B species is acknowledged by the Moffat County Weed and Pest Manager <br /> outside of established containment boundaries,either by personal observance, reported by a landowner <br /> or reported by a 3`d party, it is the responsibility of Moffat County to track, report and offer support to <br /> contain the infestation. Moffat County's response protocol will include the following: <br /> 1) Obtain geographical location of the infestation(legal description, parcel number,GPS, <br /> etc.) <br /> 2) Obtain contact information for the landowner where the infestation exists <br /> 3) Contact landowner to request access from the landowner onto the property. If <br /> telephone contact is available,the first attempt will be made to schedule the visit by <br /> phone. If telephone contact is not obtained,a letter requesting a site visit, along with <br /> educational materials relevant to the suspected infestation, a list of applicable county <br /> services and a list of contractor referrals will be sent to the landowner. <br /> 4) If consent is received,a field visit will be conducted <br /> 5) Work with the landowner and schedule the eradication of the infestation,offering <br /> supported programs where applicable and using a method that the landowner is <br /> comfortable with and which is listed in the Acceptable Treatment Methods detailed in <br /> the County Weed Plan. <br /> c. List C <br /> Moffat County does not support an enforcement or response protocol for reported List C infestations at <br /> this time. <br /> d. Watch List <br /> In the instance that a Watch List Species Infestation is identified and where rangeland and/or cropland <br /> production is consequently affected, Moffat County Weed and Pest will respond using the following <br /> protocol: <br /> 1) Obtain geographical location of the infestation(legal description, parcel number,GPS, <br /> etc.) <br /> 2) A drive-by or site visit via neighboring property will be conducted to confirm the <br /> infestation. <br /> 3) Contact information for the landowner where the infestation exists will be obtained. <br /> 5 <br />
