Elliott Russell
Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
April 20, 2017
Hi Elliott,
Reviewed the pre-operation cost estimates (2013) for the Ace in the Hole M-2013-056 and the Godsend
M-2013-040. Original estimate for revegetation work was $1099.56 (job hours 4.0) for broadcast
seeding two acres. Currently only portions of each one acre site are disturbed and reseeded.
Current estimate for revegetation of each one acre site would be approximately $550.00
(job hours 2.0) or one half the original estimate. The new estimate might actually be less than that
amount as current disturbances total much less that .25 acre each. Even at .25 acres the estimate would
be $137.50 per claim. Factoring in the total disturbances being actually less than .25 acre would further
lower the estimate. Possible cost increases since 2013 would then raise the estimate per site.
If current disturbed sites require reseeding, cost estimate would be at least $150.00 per claim.
Your office might have more recent standard fees for broadcast seeding per acre than the original 2013
estimate.
Let us know if any further information is required.
Thank you again for taking the time to answer all of our questions.
Sincerely,Aak-&
i
Rich Fretterd, 719-687-0671
Jean Cowman, 719-314-8945
