Box 773598 <br />Steamboat Springs, CO 80477 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: Proposed Decision <br /> Permit Renewal Application No. 6 (RN-6) <br /> Seneca II-W Mine (Permit No. C-1982-057) <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Routt County Commissioners: <br /> <br />This letter is to inform you that the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is <br />proposing to approve a renewal application for a coal mining and reclamation permit. The <br />application was submitted by Seneca Property LLC on July 2, 2015, for the Seneca II-W Mine. <br /> <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request <br />a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication <br />of this notice by the Division in the Steamboat Pilot. <br /> <br />The surface mine is located approximately 9 miles South of Hayden, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br /> <br />T5N, R88W; All of Section 15; Portions of Sections 9, 10, 11, 14, 16, 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 34, and <br />35 <br /> T6N, R88W; Portions of Sections 14, 23 and 24 <br /> T6N, R87W; Portions of Sections 17, 18, 19 <br /> <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the <br />above address and Hayden Public Library, 201 E. Jefferson Avenue, Hayden, CO 81639. A Copy <br />of the Division's “Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance” is available at your County <br />Clerk and Recorder’s office. <br />
