Upon Vote: Commissioner Payne, aye; Commissioner Bell, aye; <br /> Commissioner Norden,aye. The motion carried. <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE/INFORMATIONAL <br /> 1. Staff/Elected Officials: <br /> a. County Clerk's Monthly Report,Katie Barr,County Clerk and Recorder <br /> Clerk Barr reported that for the month of March, the total Motor Vehicle Fees, Sales <br /> Taxes and Recording Fees collected were$1,128,858.74. Fremont County's portion for <br /> disbursement is$598,071.57,which is$6,378.31 less than March of 2015. <br /> Commissioner Bell moved to accept the County Clerk's Monthly Report. Commissioner <br /> Payne seconded the motion. Upon Vote: Commissioner Bell,aye;Commissioner Payne, <br /> aye;Commissioner Norden,aye. The motion carried. <br /> Commissioner Bell reminded citizens of the free trash vouchers that are available to the <br /> residents of the unincorporated parts of the county. Holcim will be sponsoring a tire- <br /> recycling event on Saturday,April 16. She encouraged citizens to take advantage of both <br /> services. <br /> Commissioner Norden said the electronics-recycling event that UAACOG partnered <br /> with Florence Cleanup to hold on April 91h was a success. 107 households, 13 <br /> businesses, and 17 non-profits took advantage of the significantly reduced rates for <br /> electronics disposal. Five tons of electronics were collect. UAACOG was able to use <br /> $2500 of the $7500 allotted by Fremont County towards this event, and the remaining <br /> $5000 will be put towards a similar event in Canon City in September. <br /> Commissioner Payne thanked the Canon City Fire Protection District and the BLM Fire <br /> Crew for supervising and conducting the control burn at the ecology park. The burn <br /> helped in the cleanup of the park and was used as a training exercise. <br /> 2. Citizens who wish to address the Commissioners on a matter not <br /> scheduled on the agenda <br /> None. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 1. Third Reading and proposed adoption of Ordinance No. 1 Series of 2016, an <br /> Ordinance Regulating the Cultivation of Marijuana on Residential Properties, <br /> in Residential Structures,on Unoccupied Property and Requiring Registration <br /> of Primary Caregivers in the Unincorporated Area of Fremont County, <br /> Colorado <br /> Attorney Jackson presented the changes since the second reading. She noted the most <br /> significant change from the second reading is that there will be a cultivation limit of 36 <br /> plants for persons who own less than ten acres. Anyone owning ten acres or more will be <br /> limited to 99 plants. <br />
