New Elk Mine Pond:
Date: 6/ 0/2016
EMERGENCY SPILLWAY
1). Does it appear that the emergency spillway has discharged water since the last inspection?
No Ll
Yes
2). Is erosion occurring at any section of the emergency spillway?
Yes No
Describe extent:
SEDIMENT STORAGE CAPACITY
1). Has the design storage capacity of the reservoir been surpassed? No
Yes
Elevation @top of: {
Elevation of Water Surface:
Elevation to top of Sediment:
OTHER OBSERVATIONS
Sediment and water surface elivations were determined by a differential level
survey of water/sediment compared to the top elevation of the primary discharge
riser. An arithmatic average of several sediment elevation data points was calculated.
Only a single reading was required for determining water elevation when water
was present. Water depth to sediment was determined from depth readings using a kayak
and range pole, then average depth and sediment elevation calculated and plotted
on the pond's stage storage curve.
See Stage Storage Diagram for Professional Engineer Certification
M 4AQualified Impoundment inspector
/,go
Date
.)v
