<br />(“SWSP” or “plan”), in accordance with § 37
<br />Transit Mix Concrete Company (“Transit Mix” or “Applicant”). The gravel pit is permitted with the
<br />Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (“DRM

<br />SWSP OPERATION
<br />
<br />Transit Mix has a lease agreement with the Grisenti family to mine sand and gravel from about 100
<br />acres of land along the Arkansas River east of Florence. The mining operation is divided into two
<br />phases. Phase 1 involved the mining of approximately 35 acres located east of Highwa
<br />west of Brush Hollow Creek. Phase 1 has been completed and serves as a water recharge pond for
<br />Phase 2 operations. The attached Figure 1 shows the project phases.

<br />DEPLETIONS
<br />
<br />The depletions from this operation for the 2017 plan year (February
<br />2018) consist of 126.86 acre-feet of net evaporative loss from 41.8 acres of exposed ground water
<br />(from 41.8 acres of exposed ground water), 14.71 acre
<br />mined product (4% loss by weight),
<br />
<br />The depletions from this operation for the 2018 plan year (February 1, 2018 through January 31,
<br />2019) consist of 126.86 acre-feet of net evaporative loss from 41.8 acres of exposed ground water,
<br />14.71 acre-feet of water removed via 500,000 tons of mined product (4% loss by weight), and 6.0
<br />acre-feet pumped for dust suppression.
