The following locations are located within High Hazard Zones, which is an area of <br /> high avalanche hazard in moderate to extreme conditions. <br /> Water Sampling Sites Avalanche Slide Path Hazard Zone <br /> Groundwater Well 2A Old Revenue Pond/Sidney Basin NE Ridge High Hazard <br /> Groundwater Well 2B Old Revenue Pond/ Sidney Basin NE Ridge High Hazard <br /> In September 2016, a committee was created to better understand the safety challenges of Ouray <br /> CR361/CR26 to the Revenue-Virginius Mine Site. The committee was comprised of professional <br /> experts in the fields of avalanche safety, winter forecasting and snow mitigation, most veterans <br /> in their area of expertise with a common goal of promoting the appropriate understanding of <br /> winter operating challenges at the Revenue—Virginius Mine. The committee created a series of <br /> specific, detailed maps to identify hazards from snow avalanches, rock and ice fall areas. The <br /> sampling locations noted above are located within a hazard areas that has been identified as High <br /> Hazard Zones. The information and knowledge of these hazards and changing conditions is of <br /> paramount importance for the safety of all involved and cannot be over emphasized.
