Snow was <br />present throughout the mine operation. The pond systems observed included the No Name, East <br />Pyeatt, Oak Ponds, Middle Flume, and East Flume. Skies had high clouds and temperatures <br />ranged from 16 to 24 degrees Fahrenheit. Main haul roads were clear of snow and no hydrologic <br />or air quality issues were observed. <br /> <br />PERMITTING ACTIONS: <br />o SL18 Phase I bond release of 175.3 acres received and under completeness review by <br />DRMS. <br />o TR117 Deacon Jeffway Deal diversion ditch as built decision issued by DRMS in <br />February 2017. <br /> <br />INSPECTION: <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />The dragline appeared to be operating in the active pit at the time of inspection. The ash disposal <br />area was observed and no issues were noted. Overburden removal is progressing east of the <br />active pit and overburden was being deposited as permitted. <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS Rule 4.02 <br /> <br />o The mine site identification sign inside the entrance to the facilities from CO 13 South was <br />intact, displaying all required information: mine name, operator name, address, phone <br />number, DRMS permit number and contact information, (Photo 1). <br />o Blasting notification sign was placed according to rule 4.02.6. <br />o Topsoil stockpiles observed were clearly marked with identifying signs. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
