I have also included a table below that includes a comprehensive summary of monitoring
activities that date prior to the issuance of the EAIT permit and post issuance of the permit for the Service's
additional information. The permit was signed and executed on April 13, 2016. The dates provided below include
the timeframe from January 16 (when the eagles began nesting activities) through June 1. As the Service is aware,
the bald eagle pair did not utilize the nest they began constructing within the mining boundary in 2016 and were not
seen on the mine after February 28th. Mining activities did not result in injury or mortality to the eagle pair.
Monitoring activities ceased after June 1 as authorized in our permit because the nest was inactive. Please contact
me if you require any additional information or have questions on this monitoring report.
T you!
Dan Casiram
Senior Manager, Environmental Services
Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association Inc.
1100 W. 116'" Ave.
Westminster, CO 80234
dcasiraro( tristategt om
303-254-3923
AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/AFFIRMATIVE ACTION EMPLOYER CRAIG STATION ESCALANTE STATION NUCLA STATION
W. 8081307 P.O. !Oz 577 P.O. 801( 6"
A Touchsanx Enere Cooperative 01 CRAIG. co $106.1307 NIEIVITT, NM 8706S NUC A, CO 81421.8698
970.8241411 SW$76.2271 970-8647316
2016 Annual Reclamation Report Page 13
