EXHIBIT A—Legal Description <br /> The pit area is approximately 9.9 acres in the SW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 33, T8N, R52W <br /> of the 6th P.M., Logan County, Colorado. Delineator boundary posts will be set to mark the pit <br /> areas as shown on the map. <br /> EXHIBIT B— Site Description <br /> a) Ve etg ation— <br /> The land is currently an irrigated farm. Wheat stubble is the vegetation at the site. <br /> Soil Information— <br /> A copy of the soils information provided by the Logan County Natural Resource <br /> Conservation Service is attached. The Natural Resource Conservation Service soil maps <br /> show the soil as being primarily of the Mosher-Lebsack series. There is a clay loam <br /> surface layer and a stratified clayey alluvium deposited by the South Platte River. There <br /> is a topsoil depth of approximately 5" over the pit area. <br /> b) Permanent man-made structures <br /> There are no permanent man-made structures within 200 feet of the affected area. <br /> c) Water resources <br /> The excavation will not occur within a drainage area. There are no water structures on or <br /> adjacent to the site. The project will not have any water requirements for its operation. <br /> Aside from runoff during rainfall, the excavation should not encounter any water during <br /> mining. Rainfall in the area averages about 17.4 inches per year. The site may well be <br /> impacted by water due to the high groundwater level in the area. The water table in the <br /> area is varies anywhere from 7 to 50 feet deep based upon drilling information of wells in <br /> the neighborhood. <br />
