Colorado Division of Reclamation,
Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver Co. 80203
Jan 27, 2017
Dear Sir/Madam,
Enclosed please find an application for Hard Rock/ Metal Mining Limited Impact
Operation (110(1) Reclamation Permit Application. For the California, Utah and White rock
extension claims MS 19925 consisting of 52 acres filed in 1915 and patented in 1921. The
property has had several operators and high graders over the years and has had considerable
disturbance done all over the property. Our application is for up to 5 ac. along and adjacent to
existing roads and disturbances for the purpose of extracting crystals and specimens.
My name is Lowell Hicks I am the operating partner in LLM Investments LLC who
purchased the property June 2015. We spent some time last year exploring the property to
determine where we wanted to consecrate our efforts. We believe the area described in the
application will suffice for the next several years as it will be mainly hand digging. However we
will use an excavator to move large rocks and do the reclamation and maintain the roads . We
plan to install a metal gate on the portal as I have talked with three people who have
uncovered the portal and went inside and several more are rumored to have done the same.
I would appreciate the opportunity to meet with you and answer any questions or
concerns you might have and I invite you to visit the project. My philosophy is, know what you
have to do; do it once and do it right.
Thank you for your consideration.
4
Lowell Hicks
719-849-1857
