EXHIBIT I — Soils Information <br />The proposed affected area is a Paoli fine sandy loam. Formed in alluvium, the surface <br />layer is typically a grayish brown loam about 10 inches thick. The upper part of the <br />topsoil is grayish brown clay about 8 inches thick. The next part is light brownish gray <br />loam about 7 inches thick. The lower part to a depth of 60 inches is more light sandy <br />loam. A copy of the soils information provided by the Washington County Natural <br />Resource Conservation Service is attached in the pre -mining section. Wages -Ascalon <br />loams appear in Surveyor Creek. <br />EXHIBIT J — Vegetation_ Information <br />The following rangeland inventory was identified at the site: <br />Switchgrass, yellow blossom sweet clover, cottonwood, cocklebur, hairy goldaster, <br />wormwood, annual sunflower, Canada wild rye, wild licorice, sandbur, Japanese brome, <br />Russian thistle, Russian Knapweed, Western Wheatgrass, and Louisiana Sagewort. The <br />areas in Surveyor creek have no vegetation because they lie in an intermittent <br />drainageway. <br />EXHIBIT K — Climate <br />The primary climate at the site is similar throughout the county. Washington County <br />typically has moderate summers, crisp falls, cool winters, and warm springs. <br />• Average annual precipitation is 16.8" <br />• Annual snowfa1129.3 inches <br />• Average July high temperature of 88.8 degrees F. <br />• Average January low temperature of 14.4 degrees F. <br />
