EXHIBIT E -- Reclamation Plan
There are two reclamation phases. The first applies to the original mining within the
creek bed of Surveyor Creek. It is described as follows:
1. Prior to removing the gravel material, topsoil will be removed to a depth
of 6" to 12" if present. It will be stockpiled on site. After mining
operations are completed, the banks of the pit will be sloped to
approximately 2:1 slopes. Topsoil will be spread over the entire pit area
and the pit will be seeded according to the NRCS recommendation. The
creek bed will be smoothed out and left. No seeding will occur due to
intermittent high water flows that would simply wipe out vegetation.
2. The post -mining land use is rangeland.
3. Seeding and mulching will be performed as the end of the pit's life. It will
be completed as recommended by NRCS. The mining operation will not
affect surface or ground water.
4. Re -vegetation will be accomplished at the end of the pit's life. It will not
be phased.
NOTE: Most of the reclamation on the previous creek bed mining has been completed.
When the 2013 amendment was filed reclamation efforts changed focus from the creek
bed to the active area in the northeast corner of the S 112 of Section 11. It is described as
follows:
1. This area lies north of the actual creek. All topsoil will be removed and
stockpiled at the site. Final reclaimed slopes will be no great than 3:1.
2. Topsoil will be spread over the entire pit area and the pit will be seeded
according to the NRCS recommendation.
3. There will be no depressions left within the channel of Surveyor Creek.
4. Livestock will be kept off the re -seeded area until it is full growth is
obtained.
