Name of Addressee
Page 2
Date
$135,673.14 (25% of $542,692.57) with the approval of SL -15. The total amount associated with specific
tasks related to the SL -15 request is $451,748.94.
With the SL16 RCE and associated revisions post-SL16, the Division determined that costs to complete
remaining reclamation associated with the New Horizon Mine were $4,637,636.14. After adjusting the
RCE to account for tasks completed under SL -15 the Division determines the costs to complete remaining
reclamation to be $4,185,887.20 ($4,637,636.14 - $451,748.94). However, per Rule 3.03.1(2), the
Division can release only the amount of $135,673.14 (25% of $542,692.57) of the original $4,637,636.14
with the approval of SL -15. As such, the Division has determined that the remaining required liability at
the New Horizon Mine to be $4,501,963.00.
Two Reclamation Cost Estimates will accompany this memo. One, titled Total Applicable Bond for
111.4ac SL -15, identifies all tasks associated with the bond release area. The second, titled Summary of
SU 5 tasks, identifies tasks associated with the specific areas requested for Phase II release under SL -15.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
