Exhibit E: Rcclaniation Plan Roystcr Pit
a) There is little brush, topsoil or overburden on these gravel deposits. In some pockets its deeper
than the other areas. The amount that is there will be collected, put in separate topsoil and over
burden piles, and respread over the disturbed areas as mining is completed. Replacement of
overburden and topsoil will be done with a dozer or scraper.
b) All adjacent properties are rangeland. Prior to mining, this property was rangeland, and after
mining it will be reclaimed to rangeland.
c) The mining area is a top of a hill. There will be no highwall left. The edges will be shaped to a final
slope of 3:1 or flatter. The pit floor will be at a 1%grade, directed towards the sediment pond.
d) After the brush topsoil mixture has been spread over the disturbed area,we will seed that area with
a mixture of grass seed. All seeding will be done with a drill seed where we can, and broadcast seed
where we cannot drill. Seed mix attached. Fertilizer will be applied as recommended by our local
distributor, as stated on table attached.
e) The property only contains one phase. Mining and reclamation will be continuous to maintain an
area of 15 acres or less.
f) To provide a rooting zone for vegetation, reclamation will be done by first spreading any
overburden produced from crushing or rock spoil piles, then topsoil on top. The west half will
consist of 12" of overburden and crusher fines and 6" of topsoil, while the east half will consist of
10-12" of overburden and crusher fines and .5"to 3" of topsoil.
g) No trees or shrubs will be planted.
h) Sediment pond will remain in place after reclamation.
i) The fence separating the Royser and Seely properties will be replaced in the original location once
mining and reclamation are complete.
j) Yearly weed control until pit is closed.
