February 27,2017 Division of Reclamation, Mining,and Safety Department of Natural Resources 1313 Sherman St., Room 215 Denver,CO 80203 RE;Annual Fees and Report To Whom It May Concern: Payment of fees were made in advance so not included in this report. A map showing where weed spraying and mowing occurred also depicting stockpiles being sold and depleted. I did not receive the 2016 annual report form so a copy of the 2015 was used and edited accordingly. The heaviest concentration and spraying of weeds occurred outside the boundary of the permit area to keep in check weed migration within the boundary area. There was a heavy concentration of a mix of thistle with some tumble weeds outside the boundary. The predominant area is in the south,and southeastern part of the property along the highway right of way,the entrance off of CO 160,the southern neighbor's property adjacent to the entrance,the pond dike located on the southeast corner outside the boundary, and some small concentrations along the southern back slope of the southern boundary.Weeds were sprayed multiple times May 27-28th",then June 11th with a follow up a week later on the 18th. The entrance was mowed and any dryland areas outside the boundary and west of the hay field were mowed. The county informed us that neighboring properties would be sprayed to keep migration occurring from the south. A lease with Oldcastle was not renewed in August so the remaining stockpiles within in the old boundary are being sold commercially by Noland, Inc. A loader is on site but no process equipment at this time. Once stockpiles are depleted mining can resume as the stockpile area resides on a significant deposit of material that was previously disturbed by historical pre-permit mining that occurred during the 1940-60's located north and east of the scale.
