For the test, a
portable screening unit will be brought in and set-up under the stoker coal discharge chute to screen off
the larger size fraction, which will then load directly to the trucks, with the smaller screened fraction
transferring to a small temporary stockpile. The portable screen and temporary stockpile will be within
the existing stoker truck loading area, as shown on Map 24, so there will be no new disturbance and
drainage from this area will continue to be controlled by the existing drainage and sediment control
features. The under -sized coal material will be transferred from the temporary stockpile back to the ROM
Pile by loader -truck in order to minimize stockpile size. It is anticipated that testing would be completed
over a period of a week or less. As a portable unit, the screening unit will have its own air emissions
permit, and the limited temporary stockpiling, loading, and haulage fall within the tonnage limitations of
TC's existing air emissions permit. As a very limited temporary operation, using portable equipment
which will be removed at the end of the test, there will be no associated reclamation or bonding
requirements
This submittal includes revised PAP text (page 2.05-32) addressing the location and operation of the
proposed Stoker Coal Screening Test. We would like to proceed with this project as soon aspossible, to
support our ongoing mining activities. We, therefore, appreciate your consideration, Coope lation, and
assistance in facilitating timely review and approval of this revision application. After you have
opportunity to review the accompanying information, please feel free to contact me with any questions or
to discuss submittal materials or related matters.
Best regards,
Twentymile Coal, LLC
JEironmental
JerryMana Affairs
