Success criteria for Phase III Bond Release are as follows:
• Achieve a perennial vegetation average cover of the reclaimed areas that is ≥ 90.0% of the
perennial vegetation relative cover of the approved reference area.
• Achieve an herbaceous perennial production of the reclaimed areas that is ≥ 90.0% of the
perennial vegetation relative production of the approved reference area.
• Achieve a woody plant density of 500 stems per acre.
• Achieve at least three perennial species that contribute to ≥ 3.0% of the relative cover. At least
two of these species must be perennial, cool-season grass taxa.
• No reclaimed areas shall exhibit a single species that represents relative cover values of ≥ 60.0%.
Success evaluations involve a direct comparison and, where necessary, statistical testing of the ground
cover parameter. In the case of ground cover, comparisons are made against reference area data of the
same year.
CEDAR CREEK ASSOCIATES, Inc.6 Munger Canyon Mine - 2016
Phase III Bond Release Report
