I am sorry for the delay in my response. Our staff has been in out over the
last few days due to a conference in the area that we participated in. I was able to speak with the Section 106
compliance team this morning and to issue a statement in writing we will need a request for one from Colorado
DRMS directly. My colleagues did check their system and currently we have not received anything from them.
If they are able to send a request to us we would be happy to review it and follow up accordingly.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if there is anything else I can assist with. Have a great
afternoon!
Cheers,
Megan
Office of Archaeology and Historic Preservation
History Colorado
1200 Broadway
Denver CO, 80203
On Wed, Feb 1, 2017 at 10:45 AM, <mcollins rrblackfoxmining.com? wrote:
Megan — I did have a phone conversation with a member of your team, last month. In that conversation, we discussed
the ramifications of the listing of the Central City -Black Hawk Historic District and the fact that many buildings,
contributing to the Historic District may not be specifically listed. In explaining this to the Colorado DRMS agency,
apparently they are looking for confirmation in writing that this may, in fact, be the case: that a contributing structure
may NOT be specifically listed within the Register, however it is significant and enjoys the inclusion within the District
as a whole.
Can you assist with this in any way?
Thank you!
Matt Collins
