Manufacturer's Literature. <br />1. Manufacturer's specifications and installation instructions for splice devices. <br />1.4 PRODUCT DELIVERY, STORAGE, AND HANDLING <br />A. Deliver to site in bundles marked with tags indicating bar size and length. <br />B. Carefully handle and store on supports that will keep the steel from coming in contact with <br />the ground and or vegetation. <br />PART 2 — PRODUCTS <br />2.1 REINFORCEMENT BARS <br />A. Steel Reinforcing Bars. <br />1. Includes straight bars, stirrups, ties, and spirals. <br />2. Bend test. <br />a. Number 3 through 11 bars. <br />1) Meet one hundred eighty degrees (180) bend at sixty degrees Fahrenheit (60° <br />F.) minimum temperature without cracking when bent around pin diameter <br />indicated. <br />a) Numbers 3, 4, and 5 bars around pin diameter equal to four (4) times <br />nominal bar diameter. <br />b) Numbers 6 through 11 bars around pin diameter equal to five (5) times <br />nominal bar diameter. <br />Concrete Reinforcement February 2017 03200-2 <br />
