Section 01720 Project Record Documents <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Maintain at the site one record copy of: <br />1. Contract Documents <br />2. Documents and samples called for in the Contract Documents <br />3. Field Notes <br />4. Certificates of Compliance <br />5. Field Test Records <br />6. As -Built Documents. <br />1.2 MAINTENANCE OF DOCUMENTS AND SAMPLES <br />A. Store documents in Contractor's field office apart from documents used for construction. <br />Provide files and racks for storage of documents and storage space for samples. <br />B. File documents and samples in accordance with the Specification section numbers. <br />C. Maintain documents and samples in a clean, dry, legible condition and in good order. Do <br />not use record documents for construction purposes. <br />1.3 RECORDING <br />A. Label each document "PROJECT RECORD" in neat large printed letters. <br />B. Record information concurrently with construction progress. <br />1. Do not cover Work until required information is recorded. <br />C. Marking of Project Records <br />1. Legible and with a dark pen or pencil. <br />2. Ink shall not be water-based or subject to easy smearing. <br />D. Keep one set of project Drawings on which to record details of actual (as -built) construction. <br />At a minimum, record the following: <br />1. Field dimensions, elevations, and details <br />2.
