Section 01711 Site Cleanup <br />PART 1— GENERAL <br />1.1 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Execute cleanup, during progress of the Work, and at completion of the Work. <br />B. Adequate cleanup will be a condition for recommendation of progress payments. <br />1.2 DESCRIPTION <br />A. During the progress of the Work, Contractor shall keep the Site and other areas free from <br />accumulations of waste materials, rubbish, and other debris. <br />B. Prior to Substantial Completion of the Work, Contractor shall clean the Site and make it <br />ready for utilization by Owner. At the completion of the Work, Contractor shall remove <br />from the Site all tools, appliances, construction equipment and machinery, shall restore to <br />original condition all property not designated for alteration by the Contract Documents. <br />Surplus materials shall be stored at the San Luis Water Treatment Plant yard, at an area or <br />location designated by Owner. <br />C. Store volatile wastes in covered containers and dispose offsite. <br />D. Provide on-site covered containers for the collection of waste materials, debris and <br />rubbish. <br />E. Neatly store construction materials, such as concrete forms, when not in use. <br />F. Contractor shall provide and maintain temporary sanitation facilities for workers during <br />the construction period, which shall be removed from the site once the project is <br />complete. <br />1.3 DISPOSAL <br />A. Debris, rubbish, and loose wastes shall not be buried or burned on the site or disposed of <br />into storm drains, sanitary sewers, streams or waterways. <br />B. Contractor shall remove waste materials, clearing materials, demolition materials, <br />unsuitable excavated materials, debris and rubbish from the site at least weekly and <br />dispose of in accordance with applicable laws and regulations at licensed facilities. <br />C. Dispose of sanitary facility waste off-site in accordance with applicable laws and <br />regulations. <br />Site Cleanup February 2017 01711-1 <br />
