Section 01590 Field Offices and Sheds <br />PART 1— GENERAL <br />1.1 DESCRIPTION <br />A. Contractor to furnish, install and maintain temporary field office, unless other arrangements <br />are made in coordination with the Owner and Engineer. <br />B. Contractor to furnish, install and maintain storage and work sheds needed for construction. <br />1.2 LOCATION <br />A. Field office and storage facilities will be determined by Contractor, subject to Owner's and <br />Engineer's acceptance. <br />1.3 CONSTRUCTION <br />A. Structures shall be structurally sound, weathertight, with floors raised above ground. <br />B. Temperature transmission resistance shall be compatible with occupancy and storage <br />requirements. <br />C. At Contractor's option, portable or mobile buildings or trailers may be used if tied down <br />adequately. <br />1. Mobile homes or trailers, when used for offices, shall be modified for office use. <br />2. Trailers may be used for storage sheds. <br />3. Do not use as living quarters. <br />1.4 FIELD OFFICE REQUIREMENTS <br />A. Contractor shall maintain at least one field office on the job site during the entire time of <br />construction. <br />1. Provide appropriate type fire extinguishers at onsite field office and storage area. <br />2. Size: As required for general use and to provide space for project meetings. <br />3. Telephone: Provide mobile instrument with booster to which communication from <br />Engineer regarding Work at the site will be directed. <br />4. Furnishings in Meeting Area: <br />a. Conference table and chairs <br />b. Racks and files for Project Record Documents in, or adjacent to, the meeting area. <br />5.
