Total Disturbance 70.00 ac t Clay Approximately 42 .80 acres is disturbed. We continued to mine deeper into the clay vein this year(brown) and use the processing area (purple) . No new are was disturbed this year. Gravel Approximately 27.20 acres is disturbed, the plant site area (orange) , stockpile area and gravel is removed from the partially mined area north of the ditches (pink) . The material processed at the Plant Site came from gravel mined this year on the Rocky Flats Pit (M-1987-113) . Some waste rock was removed for use by the mineral owners from the pre- law stockpile areas and along the west side of the clay mine in Stage I. 8. Clay No new area was disturbed this year as we continue to mine the area stripped in previous years. The stone yard on the west side is still in use. Gravel Mining will continue to removed material between the Church Pit and the Rocky Flats Pit as approved in the permit. No sloping will be required along the permit boundaries on the east side of this mine. 9. No reclamation was required this year. The Pre-law stockpile areas that were disturbed have been graded so only resoiling and seeding will be needed when it is time for those areas to be seeded. Stockpiles of growth medium are located along the west and south sides of the permit area (pink) . The piles have been temporary seeded. 11. No reclamation is called for during the next year. However, backfilling may continue in the old clay pit area on the south end of the mine. If the opportunities to sell rock from the pre-law overburden piles occur, that removal will continue as well. 12 . Approximately 4 .55 acres on sections of the clay mine area have been backfilled over the life of the mine. The filled area is graded and used for working area in the Clay and Gravel Plant sites. 13 . Weeds were sprayed in 2016 for a total of 5 days. Areas sprayed: Roadways, disturbed areas and berms Dates: , May 21, 25, 27, 30, 31 & June 1 Chemical used and rates: Milestone - 6 oz/ac. ; Escort - 0 .6 oz/ac. ; Telar - 0.6 oz/ac. ; Telar - 0.6 oz/ac; marker dye - . 04 oz/ac; Surface AC90 - 0 .42 oz/ac. Species targeted: Diffused Knapweed, bindweed, mullein, Scotch thistle & Houndstongue, Kochia Canadian Thistle and Russian thistle. Success analysis: good, spraying will continue each year. 18 . The approved bond amount is $323, 800 and was reevaluated and increased on October 11, 2016 by the Division to this amount. Attached is the $791. 00 annual fee (Check # ) .
