Dorchester Coal Company is in the process of updating its current permit for
The Dorchester ~1 Mine. Regulation 2.05.5(2)(b) of the Rules and Regulations
• of the Colorado Mined land Reclamation Board specify that written comments be
obtained from the surface owners regarding post-mining land use. This letter
is written to request your comments.
The proposed post-mining land use for the Cribbs-Jackson lease is wildlife
habitat and livestock grazing. Surface disturbance within the Cribbs-Jackson
lease is minimal, consisting of light-use access roads, minor clearing for
exploratory drilling, subsidence and other mine related activities. Reclama-
tion is aimed at achieving the above referenced land use and will be completed
in accordance with CMLRB regulations upon abandonment.
Please submit any additional comments you may have regarding the proposed
post-mining land use to me at the above address. If you concur with the
post-mining land use described above. please acknowledge by countersigning
below and returning the original to me.
