2.0 EXTRACTIVE LAND USE MANAGEMENT/OPERATIONAL PLAN NARRATIVE <br /> 2.1 General Description <br /> Paragraph 1 <br /> No more than 20.8 acres will be disturbed before reclamation commences. <br /> Paragraph 2 <br /> The life of the mine is expected to last at least until July 31, 2032. Average <br /> annual production is estimated at approximately 23,000 tons per year at full <br /> production rate. <br /> 2.2 Extraction Operation <br /> Paragraph 1 <br /> Hours of operation (operation is defined as mining, reclamation, loading and <br /> hauling) will be 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and no more than 120 days per year. <br /> Paragraph 5 <br /> Mining will not disturb more than 20.8 acres. Stockpiled clay will be a <br /> minimum of 15,000 tons. <br /> 2.3 Mine Phasing <br /> Paragraph 1 <br /> No more than 20.8 acres will be worked at any one time before reclamation <br /> commences. <br /> Time Table <br /> *Assumes production of a minimum of 23,000 tons of clay per year. <br /> 2.4 Reclamation Process <br /> Paragraph 1 <br /> All reclamation shall be completed when all usable clay has been <br /> exhausted. The approximate post-mining land form will result in a <br /> maximum depression approximately 45 feet below the original ground <br /> with all slopes graded to no steeper than 3h:1v. <br /> Paragraph 3 <br /> Reclamation will take place with no more than 20.8 acres being disturbed at <br /> any one time before reclamation commences. <br /> 3.0 EXTRACTIVE LAND USE EVALUATION <br /> 3.1 Wildlife Impacts Analysis <br /> Paragraph 1 <br /> The applicant is proposing to mine approximately 20.8 acres of the total <br /> permit property. No more than 20.8 acres will be disturbed at any time before <br /> reclamation commences. <br />
