elevation than the Bessemer Ditch"..
It appears that Mr. Elliott Russell of the Division missed this fact in his presentation
to the Division Board. Or, Mr. John P. Ary - (Fremont Paving) and Dr. Angela
Bellantoni - (Environmental Alternatives, Inc.) specifically mislead or omitted the
fact of the close proximity of the "North Haul Route" to the Bessemer Ditch in their
testimony. Actually by using other measuring points, as we pointed out above, they
implied and stated that there is 1,000 feet of separation when in fact that is not the
case according to their own documents filed with the Pueblo County Planning and
Development Department.
We as citizens and property owners, who will be adversely affected by this mining
operation and the fact that testimony from Fremont Paving and Redi-Mix and its
consultants is contrary to their own filed documents, do strongly urge The Colorado
Division of Reclamation Mining & Safety, Department of Natural Resources to
reverse the approved DRMS permit #M2016-009.
As ordinary citizens, who have found serious improprieties in the facts presented by
Fremont, we hope you take seriously our findings and take immediate attention and
review. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Q 0 rjj
Wendi Kern, Chairman
Pueblo County Aggregate Opposition
Committee 36555 Fields Rd.
Avondale, CO 81022
wkem6 m il.com
