Ouray Silver Mines Inc.
Technical Revision 09 February 1,2017
Mill equipment will be removed and repurposed or sold upon final reclamation. Reagents will be
removed from site, either sent back to the vendors or disposed of as appropriate under hazardous
waste regulations. Mill upgrades do not result in additional disturbance.
7.2 Mill Discharge and Treatment
Any construction occurring on site related to mill discharge treatment system will utilize the
appropriate storm water control measures. Upon final reclamation, the treatment system be
removed, associated structures removed and the area reclaimed in a manner consistent with the
existing permit.
7.3 Water Quality Monitoring Update
Reclamation considerations for this proposed change are limited. The MWP Inlet station
consists of the parshall flume and structure already onsite. Because the sampling station is
already onsite, no additional reclamation bond is warranted.
7.4 Buildings
All new buildings proposed herein will be dismantled and removed from site in accordance with
existing permit specifications. Any rolling stock will be removed from site and sold and/or
reclaimed.Non-permanent structures such as the propane sheds and Laydown Storage Area
structure can be quickly disassembled and removed from site. Each structure has no foundation
making removal a relatively simple task. The proposed changes result in 7,414 sq. ft. of new
building foundation, which will be left in place when the building is dismantled.
7.5 Sale of Waste Rock and Tailings Blend
The sale of waste rock blended with tailings is straight forward from a reclamation standpoint.
The temporary waste rock pad and crusher area will be graded, capped and revegetated. Because
the sale blended waste rock and tailings does not represent any new disturbed area, this proposed
change is already accounted for in the existing reclamation plan and bond.
