EXHIBIT J
Vegetation Information
Vegetation at the site pre-mining consisted primarily of various pasture grasses. A small number
of trees were impacted during the relocation of the Smith and Emmons Ditch to the western edge
of the property, which was necessary to facilitate mining. The remaining trees and existing
riparian corridor along Idaho Creek that traverses the site were left undisturbed during mining
operations.
Prior to mining, the area was historically used as pasture. Most of the vegetation previously
present was agriculturally associated or can be regarded as primary invading types and species
typical of early successional stages in areas of good soil.
Grasses Weeds
Orchard Grass (Dominant) Ragweed(Dominant)
Perennial Ryegrass Kochia(Dominant)
Intermediate Wheatgrass Wild Ryegrass
Bindweed Aster
Cheatgrass Prostrate Knotweed
Smooth Brome
Other Plants
Yellow Toadflax Penny Cress
Stinkgrass Swithgrass
Common Nightshade Dropseed
Big Bluestem Wild Oats
Lambsquarters Ground Cherry
Sandbar Willow Buffalobur
Trumble Mustard
Duckworth Pit
DRMS 112 Permit Amendment
Page 12
