Oblique aerial photographs were taken on January 17, 2017 and reviewed in the office by Jason <br />Musick of the Division on January 25, 2017. The aerial photographs were conducted in a manner which resonably <br />endrures the identification and documentation of the conditio of the Deserado Mine. No potential issues were <br />identified within the photographs. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> <br />The aerial photographs showed snow or ice and snow cover in DP-1, PP-2, RP-2/3, RP-4, RP-5, RR-1, RR-2 SS-1 <br />and SS-2. The pond embankments appeared stable and in compliance with no problems noted. There did not <br />appear to be any signs of substantial run-off to the ponds or throughout the site displayed in the aerial photographs. <br /> <br />PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES – Rule 4.10 and 4.11 Drainage Control; Surface <br />Stabilization; Placement: <br /> <br />Refuse was in the process of being added to Refuse Pile – 2/3/4 at the time of the inspection, it appeared to be well <br />compacted and stable. Refuse Areas 2/3/4 and 5 displayed snow cover <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) Surfacing and Maintenance <br />4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> <br />The haul road to the refuse area and all access roads and light-use roads identified in the aerial photographs <br />appeared to be well maintained and stable with no signs of damage and no problems noted. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br />
