2_5 Relationships to Areas Designated Unsuitable for Mining <br />2.5.1 Statement of Available Information <br />The permit area is not within an area designated unsuitable for surface mining <br />activities as defined in Rule 7 or 30 CFR 764 and 765, or under study for <br />designation in an administrative proceeding under Rule 7 or 30 CFR 764 and <br />765. <br />2.5.2 Waivers of Owners (Dwellings) <br />There are no occupied dwellings within 300 feet measured horizontally of the <br />surface operations or facilities. <br />2.6 Permit Term Information <br />2.6.1 Permit Term <br />Mining activities have ceased. All facilities have been dismantled and the area <br />has been reclaimed. It is anticipated the Mining Permit will be in effect until at <br />least 2019 or until vegetation success is demonstrated and the remaining <br />reclamation bond is released. The current permit was issued October 9, 2016 <br />and expires October 9, 2021. <br />2.6.2 Anticipated Starting Date of Operations <br />Development operations commenced October 1986 and were discontinued in <br />March 1987. No development work was performed after that date. The decision <br />to reclaim the disturbed area was made in late 1993 and reclamation was <br />performed from May 1994 to August 1994. The details of the reclamation were <br />submitted and approved by the Division in Technical Revision No. 10, on <br />December 19, 1994. The decision by the Division was reconfirmed in a formal <br />public meeting by the Mined Land Reclamation Board on January 20, 1995. <br />2_7 Personal Injury and Property Damage Insurance <br />Liability Insurance Coverage is obtained on an annual basis and up-to-date <br />policies are on file at the Garfield County Courthouse as well as the records of <br />the Division. <br />Coal Ridge No. 1 2-9 05/16 <br />
